Over 115,000 bottles of Vicks Sinex nasal spray have been recalled by Proctor & Gamble Co. The recall was scheduled after bacteria were found in samples after a routine test was performed. As of yet, no injuries/illnesses have been reported but the bacteria could affect individuals with lungs problems or could even weaken one’s immune system. Three lots sent out to Germany, The United States, and The United Kingdom are being recalled due to this matter. The bacteria were found in a small amount of the U.S. lot after it shipped, and the company is testing samples from the U.K. and German lots produced from the same raw material mixture in Gross Gerau, Germany. The manufacturer warns consumers not to use the product if they had previously purchased it.
