Pradaxa linked to bleeding deaths

Pradaxais a medication used to help prevent strokes or serious blood clots in people who have atrial fibrillation, a condition in which the heart beats irregularly, increasing the chance of clots forming in the body, possibly causing strokes. The drug has been previously linked to life-threatening bleeding events, but the U.S. FDA continues to keep the drug on the market, claiming to be in the process of evaluating the reports.
